Maine requires drivers to carry these minimum levels of auto insurance coverage:
- $50,000 in bodily injury liability per person.
- $100,000 in bodily injury liability per accident.
- $25,000 in property damage liability per accident.
- $50,000 in uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage per person.
- $100,000 in uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage per accident.
- $2,000 in medical payments coverage, or MedPay.
Drivers may purchase a combined single limit of $125,000 to satisfy Maine’s bodily injury and property damage liability requirements.
