Can I drive on back roads without a license in Washington?

I usually only drive in rural areas where there are very few other drivers if I see any at all. It seems unlikely that I would get pulled over, but what would happen if I do?

“According to the
Washington State
driving laws, a person is guilty of driving without a valid license if he drives any motor vehicle on a highway in Washington State without a valid driver’s license.
The penalty for driving without a license in Washington is a fine of up to $250.
I’m unsure if the roads you’re driving on are considered highways, but if there are other drivers present, that poses the risk of an accident.
This could affect the
car insurance
rates for the vehicle you’re driving as well as your personal criminal record.”
