Can you sell a home while you're in the process of getting money for a claim?

Our home was on the market when a hailstorm did significant damage. We filed a claim that was approved and now we're waiting for the check for repairs. Can we still sell the house while we're waiting for the check?

“You absolutely can sell the house while you wait for the check.
The company already agreed to indemnify you for the loss, so it’s been worked out between both parties. It’s just the same as if you got a broken windshield and you filed a

 claim. You could still sell the car without a problem.
The only issue is that you’ll be showing a home that has damage to it. You may want to wait until the work is complete before you continue to show the property or be ready to agree to fix the damage as a part of the sales contract.
