Can you use an inverter while driving?

Is it okay to use an inverter while I’m driving? We’re going on a road trip soon, and my husband is going to try to work in the car, but he’ll need to plug in his laptop in order to do that.

Yes, it’s possible to use a power inverter while you’re driving! In fact, it might actually be better for your car than running the inverter without driving, since a power inverter will
drain your car battery
in order to power any external tools.
When your engine is on, however, your battery will draw on the gas in your car for power, making it much less likely that you’ll kill your battery.
It’s best to make sure that you don’t use a high-power inverter, since that will drain your battery extremely quickly and could cause your battery to die while you’re driving.
