How can I change the name on my insurance card after getting married?

I recently got married and took my husband's name. I'm currently updating all of my legal documents, but I've never had to do this with my car insurance before. How can I change the name on my car insurance card?

“Congratulations on your marriage—that’s a big milestone!
To change the name on your insurance card, contact your
car insurance
 company and tell them about your recent marriage.
You may have to send in your marriage certificate and other documentation (such as your license or Social Security card, just to confirm the name change), but this process is usually easy. Some companies even allow you to change it online.
The new card should be sent to you in the mail. In the meantime, download a digital copy of the insurance card to your phone to serve as
proof of insurance
.
One of the easiest ways to save your insurance card is by using the wallet function in the
