Don’t worry! Sometimes opening a hood is a multi-step process.
To open the hood of a Dodge Durango
, you’ll actually need to release two levers. The first one is the release lever itself, which you’ve already found by the steering column in your car. Once you’ve pulled this lever, you’ll need to locate the second—a manual safety latch found right above your car’s grille and beneath the hood.
To open it, you’ll need to get your fingers inbetween the hood and grille (there should be an inch or two of space) and move the latch to the left.
At this point, all you have to do is pop the hood up and maybe prop it open—and you’re ready to take a peek at that engine!
Opening your Dodge Durango’s hood is easier than it seems—and so is saving money
