How do I properly place a car sun shade?

I just moved to Florida, and I read that the constant sunshine can harm the interior of your vehicle. I bought a sun shade to protect against the damage, but I’m not quite sure how to use it. What should I do to properly position a sun shade in my car?

Congrats on your recent move to
Florida
! While the sunshine is great for outdoor activities, it’s not so great for your car. Fortunately, you can place your sunshade with these simple steps:
  • Start by unfolding the sun shade inside the car so you don’t struggle to fit it through the door.
  • Slide the bottom edge of the sun shade onto the lower edge of the dashboard.
  • Press the upper edge of the sun shade against the upper edge of the windshield.
  • Pull the sun visors down and press them into the sun shade to hold it in place.
  • And you’re done!
