How do you stop yourself from drifting while driving?

How do I keep my car from drifting into the other lane while I’m driving? Even when I keep the steering wheel really straight, my car starts to move towards the other lane and I have to correct for it and swing it back over.

When people first start driving, they often try to keep the steering wheel extremely straight to stop themselves from drifting into the other lane. However, you should be making micro-adjustments as you drive in order to keep your car moving in a straight line.
Turn your wheel slightly to adjust your course before your car reaches the other lane. This process will become more automatic as you practice.
If you notice your car drifting to one side repeatedly, however, you could have a problem with your
tire alignment
. If this is the case, you should visit a mechanic right away, as improper wheel alignment can cause an accident.
