How long does reckless driving stay on your record?
What’s the longest amount of time that a reckless driving charge can stay on my record? I got the charge in college and it’s still on my record and affecting my job applications. I’m hoping it won’t be there much longer.

In most states, the longest that a reckless driving charge will stay on your record is 10 years. However, some states will keep the charge on your record for 11 years or longer, and others will keep severe reckless driving charges—such as those involving alcohol—on your record permanently.
Depending on the severity of your charge, however, it’s entirely possible that your reckless driving conviction will be removed from your record much sooner than that. Typically, traffic violations will stay on your record for a three, five, seven, or 10-year period.
