Should I add a driver with a DUI to my policy?

You also need to live at the same address to add someone to your insurance, so unless your GamGam lives with you, your insurer won’t allow it.But let’s look at what could happen if you add a driver with a DUI to your policy. - Higher costs: putting her on your policy would increase your insurance premium since she is a high-risk driver.
- On the record: her activity would be added to your policy record, so you would be impacted if she is written up for any traffic violation. And if she files a claim under your policy, your insurance limit could be reached, leaving you out of luck if you need to file a claim yourself.
