What should I do with my old driver’s license?
I just got my new driver’s license with my updated address. I’m not sure what to do with the old one, and I’m kind of afraid to just throw it in the garbage. Is there some way I can safely dispose of my old driver’s license?

It is a bit nerve-wracking throwing away anything that has your information on it, especially in this day and age, so I totally understand your hesitation! There are better ways to dispose of your old license.
One option is to shred your license. Even if you don’t have a shredder at home, there are companies out there that specialize in destroying documents that have private data on them. You will have to pay a fee for this, however.
The other option is to simply bring your old license to the DMV. They’ll punch a hole through it to signal that it’s been voided, and then they will dispose of it properly themselves.
And that’s it! Just make sure you don’t accidentally destroy your new license - there are a few penalties for
