What’s the best year for a used Chevy Traverse?

I’m in the market for a new SUV, but prefer to buy American-made cars. The Chevy Traverse has caught my eye, but I don’t have the budget for a brand new one. What’s the best year for a used Chevy Traverse?

Overall, the best year for a used
Chevrolet Traverse
is 2017. It’s only had two small-batch recalls since it was manufactured and has very few complaints registered with the NHTSA compared to other model years. It also earned fantastic safety ratings, getting a five-star
NHTSA safety rating
and an overall rating of “good” from the IIHS.
Here are some of the 2017 Traverse’s standard features:
  • Automatic headlights
  • Cruise control
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Backup camera
  • 6.5-inch touchscreen
  • Two USB ports
Higher trims come with additional options such as heated seats, remote start, parking sensors, three-zone climate control, and a selection of useful convenience and safety tech.
It’s also good to remember that since you want a used Chevy, the
vehicle trim level, options, and packages
that are available will vary. If you want to cover all your options, make sure to check out your local dealership and online marketplaces like
Carvana or Carmax
.
